Is the dual camera going to be obsolete sooner than we expected?

Remember the good old days when we used to marvel at the advent of mobile cameras? Life became so easy; no need to carry those bulky cameras, no need to lose sleep over films getting exposed to sunlight, no worries over finding a good studio to develop photos and yes, most importantly, instant photo for the sheer pleasure of viewing. Then time changed and changed pretty fast. The megapixel war escalated and the game entered the dual camera zone. Players were doing fine but suddenly came a phone named Huawei P20 Pro which introduced world’s first triple camera setup.

This marked the beginning of a new dawn but P20 Pro is a high-end device and we thought it would take some time for midrange devices to sport that feature. But it seems we were wrong. Huawei’s e-brand Honor is actually planning to introduce triple camera in its upcoming models! Its recently launched Honor 10 does have AI camera technology but it still carried the dual camera setup. Sources reveal that Honor is going to draw inspiration from its parent brand and will bring triple camera in its future devices. Well, it seems dual camera is also going to be a thing of past pretty soon.
