Why OnePlus 6 needs to worry about Honor 10?
OnePlus is launching a new device today. They have named it OnePlus
6 but in reality, it’s just a brushed up version of OnePlus 5T. It seems that
the company had nothing new to come up and they decided to give 5T an upgrade
with a name change. Yes, needless to say, the price tag is higher than 5T (obviously,
something needed to be done to make it look like a new device after all).
This device however, is going to face tough competition from
the recently launched Honor 10. The latter has already driven OnePlus 5T out of
the race and possesses serious threat for OnePlus 6. On paper and on almost
every specs and features, both Honor 10 and OnePlus 6 looks similar. There is a
reason why I highlighted the word almost in the previous sentence as there are
two main areas where Honor 10 outscores OnePlus 6 – the camera and the pricing.
OnePlus 6 comes with the same camera setup as 5T – dual lens
16MP + 20MP sensors with f1.7 aperture. The front camera packs a 16MP sensor with
f2.0 aperture and auto HDR function. See, on first look, this is impressive
though they sold the old camera setup in new packaging. But when you will get
to know that Honor 10 has packed a wonderful 16MP + 24MP dual rear camera set
up with face detection autofocus and LED flash, you will understand that
OnePlus 6 has nothing much to fight with against Honor 10.
These are the selfie times and they are a part of our lifestyle
now; so a better front camera is the deciding factor of a phone’s future.
OnePlus 6 has a 16MP front camera which is decent enough. You however will tend
to change your mind after you experience the 24MP front camera of Honor 10. This
is a wonderful camera which captures selfies like you have never seen before.
On price point as well, Honor 10 proves to be more
pocket-friendly. With all its glory and such amazing camera, Honor 10 is priced
at 32,999 INR. OnePlus 6, on the other hand, starts from 36,000 INR.
