After use review: Honor Play still giving OnePlus 6 a run for its money

It’s been a while since two of India’s most popular smartphones of 2018 had been launched – Honor Play and OnePlus 6. Both the phones generated a lot of buzz around its Indian debuts. OnePlus brought out their flagship with a massive campaign and Honor came up with a beast of a smartphone with insane speed and performance. Like I said, it is some time that these two devices are in the market and I think it is high time we do an after-use analysis of both these devices.

Honor Play is a power and performance driven device which has come up to be one of the best products from the house of Honor. This beast is powered by Kirin 970 AI chipset with independent NPU which ups the game for its competitors including OnePlus 6. The latter comes with Snapdragon 845, which is also a renowned processor but the AI capabilities of Honor Play scores a bit higher in my ranking.

Then one thing that I found interesting in Honor Play is the GPU Turbo. It increases battery performance by 60% and decrease power consumption by 30%. It powers Honor Play to a performance unparalleled. I have experienced both the devices and I have to say that I found OnePlus 6 lagging a little compared to Honor Play.

In its campaign and even in the launch event, Honor Play established itself as a gaming device. And while playing high octane games like PUBG, I actually found why they were going crazy after its gaming prowess. The phone just refuses to lag and get tired! Heating problem is also not that much. But ask me what I loved the most? It’s the 4D shock effect that you get while playing games! OnePlus 6 is yet to introduce this effect.

I have come across a few videos online which will help you understand my point:
